Every Salamander stove is hand-finished at Salamander’s Devon workshop and supported by a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
The Salamander Little Range Cookstove brings serious cooking capability and efficient space heating into a compact footprint.
Designed for places where a conventional range cooker would simply be too large, it is particularly well suited to shepherd’s huts, woodland cabins, glamping accommodation, garden retreats, tiny homes, boats and smaller holiday properties.
The Little Range combines a 4.3kW nominal heat output with a removable stainless steel hotplate and a practical oven. Guests can warm the space, cook a full meal and, with the optional side boiler, support an off-grid hot water system from one compact appliance.
Measuring just 715mm wide, 400mm deep and 630mm high, it offers the character and functionality of a traditional solid-fuel range without demanding a large kitchen or fireplace.
Its high-quality cast iron construction, enamelled upper section and traditional detailing give it a reassuring sense of permanence, while modern clean-burning technology delivers an efficiency rating of 85.7%.
A strong fit for holiday retreats and compact accommodation
For retreat owners, the Little Range offers more than visual appeal. It can become part of the experience of the stay.
It provides:
- A memorable focal point for cabins and shepherd’s huts
- Space heating and cooking from one compact appliance
- Compatibility with wood, coal and eco logs
- The potential to support an off-grid hot water supply
- A traditional range-cooker experience without the footprint of an Aga or Rayburn
- Flexible installation as a freestanding stove or within a suitable fireplace
- A practical option for remote accommodation where space and utilities are limited
Cooking capability
The removable stainless steel hotplate provides approximately 221 square inches of cooking space, with different temperature zones across its surface. This allows several pans, kettles or cooking vessels to be used at the same time.
The oven provides approximately 880 cubic inches of internal space and includes:
- A stainless steel internal lining
- Two cooking levels
- A removable chrome oven shelf
- An inset temperature gauge
- An oven control lever
- Removable components for easier cleaning
The wide range of temperatures available across the hotplate makes the Little Range suitable for everything from boiling water and preparing breakfast to slow cooking and baking.
Optional hot water capability
An optional side boiler can be fitted inside the firebox on the right-hand side of the stove.
When incorporated into a correctly designed system, the heated water can be thermosyphoned to a suitable stainless steel storage chamber, allowing the Little Range to support the hot water requirements of a tiny home, cabin or off-grid retreat.
The side boiler is an optional extra and should be specified as part of the overall installation design.
