The meaning of AEMYR

AEMYR (pronounced AY-meer) is inspired by ǣmerge, the Old English ancestor of the modern word ember. Its distinctive Æ is the Old English letter ash, now rarely seen in modern English.

The name also echoes Emyr, Welsh for king or lord, and Amir, a title associated with leadership and princely authority across Arabic and Persian-speaking cultures.

For AEMYR, these threads come together in one idea: enduring warmth, universal renewal and the quiet power of the hearth.

Fire is one of the oldest forms of comfort. It draws people in, softens a space and slows the pace. Water offers something different: a place to pause, reset and reconnect with the outdoors. Together, they shape how a place feels and how people spend their time within it.
