Product Details
The Hobbit SE by Salamander Stoves is a compact cast iron multi-fuel stove made for smaller fireplaces and characterful spaces where a full-sized stove will not fit. Its compact footprint makes it particularly well suited to cabins, shepherd’s huts, garden rooms, tiny homes, canal boats, converted chapels, period properties and heritage interiors.
SE stands for Smoke Exempt. This is the DEFRA exempt version of the Hobbit stove, designed for use in UK Smoke Control Areas when installed and used correctly.
Small in scale but serious in performance, the Hobbit SE delivers a 4.1kW heat output with 81.4% efficiency. It features Clean Burn and Airwash technology, helping to keep the glass clearer while supporting efficient combustion.
The stove can burn wood, coal, smokeless fuels or briquettes, and includes an ash pan and multi-tool as standard. It has a top or rear flue exit and a 100mm / 4 inch outlet, giving flexibility for different installation settings.
Finished in matte black as standard, the Hobbit SE has a traditional stove profile with a compact footprint, making it a practical choice for small spaces that still deserve the atmosphere and warmth of a real fire.
Personalised colour options are available on request for the stove door and airflow wheel, allowing you to add a more individual finish to the Hobbit while keeping the main cast iron body in its standard matte black.
Available colourways include softer neutrals such as Almond, Sand and Surf Sand, deeper tones including Forest Green, Metallic Blue and Mojave Red, and warmer finishes such as Copper, Metallic Gold, Golden Fire Brown, Chrome Plated and Brass.
