How much outdoor space can Dolce Vita heat?

Italkero gives Dolce Vita an approximate heating area of 13m², with a range of around 2 metres from the heater. Depending on the gas and control version selected, it provides around 10kW of heat input. As with all outdoor heating, real-world performance changes with wind, temperature and how exposed the setting is. For a venue or larger terrace, it therefore makes more sense to think about where people actually sit and gather rather than simply multiplying a quoted square-metre figure.

The real gas flame provides both heat and a dramatic vertical light through the central glass tube, while LEDs illuminate the translucent lower section. The effect is quite different from a conventional outdoor heater. After dark, you have the movement and brightness of the flame above together with a softer ambient glow closer to ground level. That combination is a big part of what makes Dolce Vita work particularly well within hospitality, event and designed outdoor spaces: the heating becomes part of the atmosphere rather than simply equipment added to it.

Does the standard Dolce Vita base light up?

Yes. AEMYR includes the LED Base Light Kit with the standard Dolce Vita, so the translucent lower section can be illuminated as shown in the product imagery. The standard lighting system uses a rechargeable battery and charger, and the light can be used independently of the gas flame. That means in warmer months, when additional heat is not needed, Dolce Vita can still remain in place as an illuminated feature within the terrace, garden or venue. We include the light kit because the illuminated base is an important part of the Dolce Vita design — and because it gives the piece a role beyond heating alone.

Should I choose Dolce Vita or Falò EVO?

Accepted Answer

Both give you a real visible gas flame and useful outdoor heat, but they have quite different personalities. Choose Dolce Vita if you want the heater to contribute strongly to the lighting and visual architecture of the space. Its polished stainless steel, tall glass flame and illuminated lower body make it feel lighter, brighter and more sculptural. Choose Falò EVO if you prefer a more elemental, material-led outdoor fire with the stronger architectural character of its pyramid form and finishes such as corten steel. For a hotel terrace, restaurant, event space or landscape project, the choice is often less about which heater is better and more about which object belongs in the space you are creating.

Should I choose Dolce Vita or Dolce Vita E.P.?

The overall Dolce Vita concept is similar, but there is an important difference in how the lighting is powered. With the standard Dolce Vita supplied by AEMYR, the LED Base Light Kit uses a rechargeable battery. The Dolce Vita E.P. incorporates thermal modules connected to the LED lighting system, using heat produced while the fire is operating as part of its energy-generating system. If you love the Dolce Vita design and want the simpler, lower-priced option, choose the standard model. If the energy-producing lighting technology is an important part of the appeal or specification, choose Dolce Vita E.P.

Should I choose Manual or Remote Control?

Both versions allow you to adjust the flame and heat. The Manual Control model is operated directly at the heater and offers variable power levels. It is the simpler option if you are happy for each heater to be controlled locally. The Remote Control version gives you seven flame-height and power settings, from MIN through to MAX. Each remote is paired with one individual Dolce Vita, so where several heaters are installed within a venue they can be adjusted independently rather than one remote changing them all. For hospitality spaces where temperatures and guest numbers change over the course of an evening, we think Remote Control is likely to earn its keep.

Should I choose LPG or Natural Gas?

Choose LPG / Propane if flexibility matters. The gas cylinder sits within the lower section of the heater, allowing Dolce Vita to be used without a fixed mains gas connection. Choose Natural Gas where Dolce Vita is becoming a more permanent part of a terrace, venue or landscape scheme and you have — or plan to install — a suitable fixed gas supply. The LPG version can also form part of a fixed installation supplied from a larger external propane or butane source. This is a decision to make when ordering: an appliance manufactured for LPG must not subsequently be converted to Natural Gas, or vice versa.

Does Dolce Vita need an electrical connection?

Accepted Answer

No permanent mains electrical connection is required for the heater itself. The controls and ignition are battery powered. The Manual model uses an AA battery, while the Remote Control version uses batteries within both the receiver and handheld remote. The LED Base Light Kit included with AEMYR's standard Dolce Vita has its own rechargeable battery and charger. That can be particularly useful in existing terraces, gardens and venue spaces where introducing another permanent electrical supply beside every heater would add unnecessary installation work.

Can Dolce Vita be used under a pergola or covered terrace?

Accepted Answer

Yes, provided the space remains genuinely open and the required clearances are maintained. Dolce Vita is designed for outdoor or abundantly ventilated areas. In a partially enclosed space, Italkero requires at least 25% of the total wall area to remain open to the outside. Italkero's installation diagram also shows a minimum clearance of 500mm above the heater and 500mm to the side. Can Dolce Vita be used in windy locations?

Dolce Vita's glass flame tube and protective construction give the flame more shelter than an exposed outdoor fire, and the design also incorporates an anti-wind component. It isn't completely windproof, however. Strong or persistent wind can affect the flame and operation of any outdoor gas heater, and Italkero's guidance recommends sheltering the appliance when wind is causing operating problems. For exposed rooftops, coastal locations or particularly open terraces, sensible positioning and some protection from prevailing winds are therefore worth considering.

Can Dolce Vita be moved between different outdoor areas?

Yes, if you choose the mobile LPG installation. Dolce Vita includes a trolley for moving the heater, which makes it useful for hospitality and event venues where terraces or outdoor layouts may be reconfigured for different occasions. The heater should always be switched off, the gas supply closed and the appliance allowed to cool before it is moved. Natural Gas and other fixed installations should be treated as permanent.

What safety features does Dolce Vita have?

Dolce Vita includes an anti-tip safety device that automatically shuts off the gas supply if the heater overturns. It also has flame-failure protection: if the pilot flame goes out accidentally or because the gas supply has been exhausted, the safety system automatically interrupts the gas supply. The central glass flame tube sits inside Dolce Vita's protective steel grille, rather than being left as an exposed glass surface. As with any real-flame fireplace or heater, the appliance becomes hot while operating, so it should not be touched while lit and should be allowed to cool before handling or moving.

How easy is Dolce Vita to look after?

Routine care is fairly straightforward. For the exterior, Italkero recommends a soft, scratch-resistant cloth. The inside of the glass tube can be cleaned using a suitable soft brush, and the manufacturer's maintenance instructions show how the upper section can be removed to access the glass when required. If Dolce Vita is being stored for a longer period, it should be kept somewhere dry and protected from dust and weather. For LPG models, the hose, regulator, cylinder connection and seals should also form part of normal periodic checks.
