Product Details

The Hobbit by Salamander Stoves brings the warmth and character of a traditional cast iron multi-fuel stove to spaces where room is limited. Its compact proportions make it a natural choice for smaller fireplaces, canal boats, cabins, shepherd’s huts, garden rooms, tiny homes, converted chapels and period interiors.

Only 302mm wide, the Hobbit is made for spaces where every centimetre matters, while still bringing the warmth, atmosphere and character of a real fire.

The stove delivers a 4.1kW heat output with 81.4% efficiency and is Eco Design 2022 approved. It features Clean Burn technology, improved Airwash, a pre-heated tertiary air system and enhanced secondary combustion to support cleaner, more efficient burning.

The Hobbit can burn wood, coal, smokeless fuels and briquettes. A riddling grate, ash pan and multi-tool are included as standard.

This is the standard Hobbit model. If your installation is in a UK Smoke Control Area, choose the Hobbit SE, which is the DEFRA exempt / Smoke Exempt version.

Finished in matte black as standard, the Hobbit has a traditional stove profile with a compact footprint, making it a practical choice for small spaces that still deserve the unmistakable glow and warmth of a real fire.

Personalised colour and finish options are available on request, allowing the Hobbit to sit more naturally within your interior scheme. Choose from a wide range of enamel-style colourways and detail finishes, from softer neutrals such as Almond, Sand and Surf Sand to deeper tones including Forest Green, Metallic Blue, Mojave Red and Golden Fire Brown.

Personalised colour options are available on request for the stove door and airflow wheel, allowing you to add a more individual finish to the Hobbit while keeping the main cast iron body in its standard matte black.

Available colourways include softer neutrals such as Almond, Sand and Surf Sand, deeper tones including Forest Green, Metallic Blue and Mojave Red, and warmer finishes such as Copper, Metallic Gold, Golden Fire Brown, Chrome Plated and Brass.

Contact AEMYR if you would like help sourcing a specific door and airflow wheel colour combination before ordering.

Every Hobbit stove is hand-finished at Salamander’s Devon workshop and supported by a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
