The Molde from ScandiFlames is a freestanding bioethanol stove built in a traditional cast iron form, echoing the detailing and presence of a classic wood-burning appliance. With its solid construction, decorative cast elements and front glass door, it retains the visual weight and character of a conventional stove while operating without the need for a chimney or flue.
Finished in black cast iron, Molde is designed to sit within fireplace openings or as a standalone feature, restoring a defined focal point to the room. The removable top section reveals a flat plate beneath, allowing for light functional use such as heating a kettle, adding a practical layer to its traditional design.
Fuelled by bioethanol, Molde operates without a chimney, flue or power connection. A 1.5 litre manual burner delivers a real, adjustable flame with a burn time of up to 5 hours per fill, consuming around 0.3 litres of fuel per hour and providing a maximum heat output of approximately 2.1 kW.
Intended for indoor rooms of at least 50 cubic metres, Molde is suited to living spaces where atmosphere and visible flame are prioritised. It offers the presence and ritual of a traditional stove in interiors that no longer support solid-fuel appliances.
